MJF Eyeing Monster New Contract In 2024

MJF

MJF has big plans for 2024.

For well over a year, MJF has laid out his ideal scenario for when his AEW contract ends. By the time it happens, he wants to make sure he’s the biggest star in wrestling to create a bidding war between current employer AEW and WWE. He’ll then sign with the company that offers him the most money, making him stunningly rich in the process. The scene ends with the AEW World Champion jumping into a huge pile of coins like Scrooge McDuck.

While appearing on a recent episode of Hot Ones: Truth Or Dab, with Adam Cole, MJF was asked about his contract status. The star reiterated that the ‘bidding war of 2024’ is alive and well, and he won’t be even considering a contract for less than seven figures.

“January 1, 2024.” MJF said when asked when his current contract with AEW will expire. “They better back up the goddamn Brinks truck, okay pal? Realistically, I know there’s a lot of money that’s going to be thrown my way from both sides. I’m not accepting anything under seven figures, I won’t even make eye contact with a contract that’s under seven figures.”

MJF Says There’s No “War” Between WWE And AEW

While MJF is perfectly content to play AEW and WWE against one another because it’s best for his own personal business, he believes fans on social media need to calm down and stop arguing. Speaking elsewhere ahead of All In, MJF explained that wrestlers in both companies are actually pulling for everyone to succeed while fans are trying to create issues on social media.

“There’s this weird thing going on now in professional wrestling where I’ll see fans online, the way they communicate with each other, it’s like all-out war. Just so you guys know, that’s not what’s going on with the wrestlers. We’re all rooting each other on because realistically, the better the two companies are doing, the more money we’re gonna make. So stop arguing.”
