The incredible showcase of support for the LGBTQ community was met with a massive amount of support on social media but as with any political matter, an equal proportion of disapproval from those with more outdated views.

Dutch Mantell took to Twitter criticising AEW for allowing this to happen, despite it not being broadcast, stating that Khan should have learnt from the BudLight scandal earlier in the year.

Is this a wise move…involving a political issues on a wrestling show? I guess the issue that @budlight and @target have had with the LGBTQ topic has not reached @AEW This shot didn’t make the show but the still photo is there.”

‘Big Bad’ Brody King took the opportunity to reply and say what was on his, and a lot of fans minds.

“You probably thought it was a political issue when Black people and Women wanted equal rights too, you old bag of shit.”

Plans For AEW's Roster Split Were Met With "Mixed Feelings"

AEW President Tony Khan

A number of AEW stars will reportedly be pleased with the news that Tony Khan has dropped plans for a “hard” roster split.

The much-talked-about AEW roster split appears to have been put on the back burner, a decision that has gone down well with a number of talents backstage.

When the show was first announced there was immediate talk that the roster would be split in two, with half working Dynamite and the other being tied to Collision. While this was at least in part a way of retaining an easier schedule for stars, it was also designed to keep CM Punk and The Elite apart with their issues remaining very much unresolved.

However, the closer the show came, the less likely a split appeared, and on the eve of Collision’s premiere, Tony Khan confirmed that there wouldn’t be separate rosters for Collision and Dynamite.

Bully Ray

Bully Ray Claims Current WWE Star Is "A Generational Talent"

Dolph Ziggler Theory

When WWE fans are asked to name generational talents they will typically name the likes of Hulk Hogan, John Cena or Roman Reigns.

However, according to WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray there is one ‘generational talent’ on the WWE roster that doesn’t get the love they deserve.

Speaking on Busted Open Radio, Bully Ray was discussing the idea that it is better to leave the WWE and try your luck in another company if you are not always at the top of the card.

The ECW Legend would reveal that he believes that is not always the wisest choice, using current WWE Superstar Dolph Ziggler as an example of someone who knows their role and does it well.

“Dolph gets paid very, very well to do what he does. And most people be like, ‘He’s never on TV, Bubba. He doesn’t do anything. They job him out, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’ He gets paid really, really well because the Dolph Zigglers of the world only come around once in a while.”

The former Bubba Ray Dudley would go on to claim that Dolph Ziggler is in fact a generational talent, praising the former WWE Champion for his ability to steal the show regardless of his role in the company at the time.

“We talk about generational talents. Dolph Ziggler is a generational talent, a guy that can hang out at the bottom, and on any given night, if he wanted to, [he could] shoot right to the top of the ladder.” [h/t WrestlingInc]

CM Punk Set For AEW Dynamite Return

Danhausen CM Punk

Following his blockbuster return last Saturday for the debut episode of AEW Collision, CM Punk looks set to make headlines once again as he returns to AEW Dynamite for the first time in almost a year.

Many fans had initially speculated that Punk, due to his on-going issues with Adam Page, Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks, would only be appearing at PPV’s and AEW Collision shows.

However, according to a new report, CM Punk looks set to make his AEW Dynamite return this Wednesday.

Fightful Select has reported that CM Punk could appear on the June 21st episode of AEW Dynamite in Chigaco.

The report states that although ‘The Second City Saint’ has not been announced for the Wintrust Arena show, those close to Punk have claimed that the star is set to appear.

Five matches have already been announced for the show, none of which include Page, Omega or The Young Bucks, seemingly paving the way for Punk to appear without risking an altercation backstage as tensions are still high following the AEW All Out brawl back in 2022.
