CEO
Jim Szafranski is the CEO of Prezi, which he joined in 2015 and has helped evolve Prezi into a leading video and visual communications suite. Before becoming CEO, Jim rose to President at Prezi and steered the company’s strategic expansion into video and built its rapidly expanding ecosystem of collaboration partners. Jim also led the company’s integration of the Infogram acquisition and team, resulting in Prezi’s new visual suite of Prezi Video, Prezi Present, and Prezi Design.
Since earning his engineering and management degrees from MIT and Stanford, he’s built his career around helping users and communities adopt new technologies.
Prior to Prezi, he was Fiberlink’s SVP of Product Management, Customer Acquisition and Success, helping build the industry-leading mobile enterprise cloud platform en route to an acquisition by IBM, where Jim served as an executive. He was previously the VP of Product at wifi pioneer Cometa Networks, and the Director of Product at Tut Systems, which went public in 1999 and was later acquired by Motorola.
When he’s not pursuing Prezi’s mission of helping our users connect with their audiences, he’s likely in his backyard with his children and his home improvement list.
Executive Chairman and Co-founder
Peter’s lifelong mission is to help improve human understanding. He is Executive Chairman of Prezi, where he was founding CEO and built Prezi Present, Prezi Design, and Prezi Video and built a community of more than 100 million users who have created the world’s largest library of publically available presentations. During this time, Peter also founded BridgeBudapest to encourage young Hungarians to believe that global success can happen from Hungary and WeAreOpen, an organization promoting diversity and inclusion in Central and Eastern Europe.
Before Prezi, he founded Omvard - named Sweden’s best website - which aggregates data on treatment outcomes to help patients make better decisions about their healthcare.
Principal Artist & Co-founder
Adam, an architect and artist, a maker and facilitator, spent the last decade creating innovative technologies and artistic projects which facilitate the creativity of others - ranging from mixed reality interfaces and DIY smarthomes to institutions and workshop methods for innovation.
His (collaborative) works have been exhibited at Venice Biennale and dozens of festivals globally and published in leading magazines and blogs. In 2007, he co-founded Kitchen Budapest media lab with Peter Halacsy. He wrote his first prezi in 2001. In his own words:
“I hand-coded my first prezi in 2001, just as a personal tool to develop my ideas by seeing relations, the big picture, and then focusing the attention of the audience by creating a visual journey.
I’ve made about 2,500 prezis by now, and after each and every one I think about how to use this language better and how to build this knowledge into the product so that we can help everyone make better prezis.
In a prezi, there is always context, there are no slides hiding one idea from the other, and the visual journey is always there to help us orient ourselves in the cloud of information.”
