WWE Raw Star Signs New Multi-Year Deal

Drew McIntyre holds back Dominik Mysterio on WWE Raw

Dominik Mysterio is remaining with WWE for the foreseeable future.

According to a report from PWInsider, The Judgment Day’s Mysterio recently signed a new multi-year contract. The report notes that the signing took place about a month ago, and one source indicated that the new contract was a five year deal. Another source confirmed that Mysterio had signed a new contract, but could not confirm the length of the deal.

In a further update on WWE contracts, Rey Mysterio has also signed a new deal with the company.

Mark Henry Compared Dominik Mysterio To Other Legendary WWE Superstars

Plenty of longtime veterans have had praise for Dominik Mysterio in recent months. Chavo Guerrero believes Mysterio is progressing far beyond where he should be at this stage in his career, and Road Dogg called Mysterio a “huge star” due to getting the most heat out of anyone on the roster.

Speaking on a recent edition of Busted Open Radio, Mark Henry also heaped praise on the young star, comparing him to other legacy talents such as The Rock and Randy Orton.

“I put him in the same category as The Rock and the Harts and people that come from pro wrestling,” Henry said. “They have [a] legacy — Randy Orton. There are things that Dominik does that are just intuitive. You can tell he just picked it up. It’s not trained. I mean, you have a lot of reps, so I guess you can consider it to be trained, but he just does stuff that I’m like, ‘That’s a kid out there playing with his toys.’ He knows what he’s doing.

And all those years of watching his dad,” he continued, “and all those years of knowing what the bad guy did, knowing all of those things of what his dad had to fight through to get to be who he was. I think it’s paying dividends for him.” (h/t WrestlingInc)

Dominik Mysterio is set to face CM Punk in Punk’s first match since making his return to WWE.
