Vince McMahon VICE Documentary Release Date Revealed

Vince McMahon

Vince McMahon’s life has been filled with shocking moments and big scandals. The former WWE Chairman survived tons of bad publicity and multiple controversies that could’ve ended the careers of other promoters. But Vince McMahon bounced back each time, until 2022.

McMahon’s ability to survive almost anything has led to a VICE documentary to be made about him. And now, curious fans will know when they can watch it.

VICE documentary on Vince McMahon airing in three days

Several people were interviewed for the documentary, including the Wrestling Observer Newsletter’s Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez. And it was the latter who confirmed that the documentary’s airdate: Tuesday, December 13th, at 9pm EST.

The documentary will be titled ‘The Nine Lives of Vince McMahon’. It was supposed to air on October 18th but that airdate was changed because both WWE NXT and AEW Dynamite had shows scheduled for that night.

Other people interviewed for the documentary include Brandon Thurston, Dave Nelson, Brian Solomon, and Vince Russo.

But despite its name, the documentary will not go over multiple events from Vince McMahon’s career or personal life. Instead, it will focus on the allegation of ‘hush money payments’ and ‘improper relationships’ that caused him to resign as CEO earlier this year.

After Vince’s removal from day-to-day affairs in WWE, his work was divided between two people. The wrestling and creative elements were taken over by Paul ‘Triple H’ Levesque, while the corporate and financial affairs were taken over by Vince’s daughter Stephanie McMahon.

Although this documentary won’t cover earlier Vince McMahon controversies, VICE has already looked into Vince’s past. One of VICE’s most popular recent shows is Dark Side of the Ring, which devotes individual episodes to specific controversies from all over the wrestling business.

And one episode from the third season covered Vince McMahon’s 1994 steroid trial that had a major impact on WWE’s reputation and those of its wrestlers.
