WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair has paid an emotional tribute to his late son Reid who passed away in 2013 at the age of just 25.

In March of 2013, at the young age of 25, Reid Flair passed away from an apparent drug overdose in Charlotte, North Carolina. Ric Flair previously revealed that in the days following Reid’s funeral, he shared a touching moment with Triple H where he received a gift he thought he’d never see – a replacement WWE Hall of Fame ring.

Taking to social media, The Nature Boy shared a photo of himself and his partner Wendy at his late son’s resting place:

“You Will Always Be With Us! We Love & Miss You Reid!”

Prior to his death Reid Flair was trying to make his way in the world of professional wrestling and even spent some time in All Japan Pro Wrestling where he was able to team with Japanese legend The Great Muta.

After his passing, his sister Ashley picked up the wrestling baton and began forging her own career in Reid’s memory. She is of course best known these days as WWE’s Charlotte Flair.

Charlotte Flair is one of the most highly decorated stars in all of WWE history. She had held the NXT Women’s Championship twice as well as the Raw and SmackDown Women’s Championships six times apiece. In addition, she was also the WWE Divas Champion prior to that belt being retired as the “Divas” era in WWE came to an end.

Charlotte Flair has not been in action since losing an I Quit match and with it her SmackDown Women’s Championship to Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania Backlash. Recent reports have suggested that The Queen could be set for a return to WWE screens in the very near future.
