Update On Contract Negotiations Between Triple H & Naomi

Triple H

A new report has shed light on a possible return to WWE for Naomi amid contract negotiations with Chief Content Officer, Triple H.

Naomi hit headlines back in May alongside Sasha Banks when they walked out of WWE either during or before Monday Night Raw. The two women were WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions at the time and were reported to have handed their belts over to then-Head of Talent Relations John Laurinaitis before they left.

The two women were advertised for that night’s main event and as a result WWE publicly chastised Naomi and Sasha Banks on air with Michael Cole on the following SmackDown announcing that they’d been suspended by the company.

Will Triple H Bring Naomi Back To WWE Screens?

Conflicting reports have since emerged with some suggesting both women were back on the WWE internal roster although Banks’ put doubt on those reports as she removed all references of her Sasha Banks name and WWE from her own social media.

Now the Wrestling Observer Newsletter has given the latest situation on Naomi’s contract negotiations with Triple H. Naomi’s contract was nearing its end before the walkout and the latest update says nothing has progressed due to unresolved issues.

It is noted that WWE could have frozen her original contract following her walkout which means there will still be time left on that deal which could be part of the hold up. It is thought Naomi was renegotiating a new deal before she went on hiatus.

The report also says that Naomi will be unable to negotiate elsewhere if her contract was frozen and she’s still bound by it. Although talks between the two sides are said to be ongoing.

Naomi could be among those to return to WWE following Vince McMahon’s retirement in July and the ascension of Triple H to the top of the company. Karrion Kross, Scarlett, Braun Strowman, Luke Gallows, Karl Anderson, Dakota Kai, and Bray Wyatt are among those to have rejoined the company – although all of these stars were officially released from their previous deals.
