Ace Steel Hits Out At “False Accusations” In Cryptic New Post

Ace Steel & CM Punk in the AEW ring

Ace Steel has hit the headlines for all the wrong reasons since he was allegedly part of the backstage brawl that occurred following AEW’s All Out pay-per-view in early September.

At the event CM Punk – Steel’s former student and current friend – recaptured the AEW World Championship in the main event from Jon Moxley. However, the drama was only beginning – Punk was then confronted on-screen by the returning MJF who had earlier won a future title shot through the Casino Ladder Match but it’s when the show went off the air, business really picked up.

At the post-show media scrum, Punk sat next to AEW President Tony Khan as he lambasted several members of the AEW roster including veiled references to The Young Bucks. What followed was reported to be a brawl that allegedly saw Punk throw a punch at Matt Jackson while Ace Steel is said to have thrown a chair at Nick Jackson and also to have bitten Kenny Omega.

Ace Steel Alludes To False Accusations

Several stars and backstage personnel were suspended as a result of the fight with the principles alongside Christopher Daniels, Brandon Cutler, Pat Buck, and Michael Nakazawa being sitting some time out. These last four soon returned to work with their role in the ordeal thought to be that of trying to restore the peace.

With Punk and The Elite stripped of their titles and not at the shows, their suspension is thought to be continuing with the future of Ace Steel even less certain in the company.

Reports have suggested that Steel has been released from his role in a move that was widely expected following the allegations made of his participation in the fight. Now Ace Steel has possibly alluded to things not quite ringing true as he took to social media to post a photo of Macho Man Randy Savage famously confronting Hulk Hogan backstage as The Mega Powers exploded with the words “false accusations running wild.”

With nobody making any official public statement on the situation, we may never know what accusations Ace Steel thinks are false. A recent report also suggested that Steel had been “surprised” by his release and thought he’d be returning to AEW.
