Rhea Ripley will be in a marquee match at Elimination Chamber.
As reported by 7NEWS Adelaide, The Women’s World Champion who grew up in Australia will be in a headline match of the upcoming Premium Live Event in Australia, which will be the first major show held in the country since 2018.
The report showed Ripley’s beginnings in the Adelaide independent scene before making her ascent to a marquee match at WrestleMania against Charlotte Flair.
While being interviewed about the upcoming PLE, Ripley explained how excited she is to hear the crowd reactions from the people of Perth:
“I’m ecstatic, I’m so, so excited. To go over there with WWE and to be announced from Adelaide, South Australia I can’t wait to hear the reaction and to hear the electricity coming from the crowd.
With the steel structure being heavily featured at the event in 2024, it looks like The Nightmare will be putting the title on the line against 5 other Superstars inside the demonic structure.
It should be noted that even though the report states that Ripley will headline, there is no guarantee that she will be in the final match on the card. As has been seen with PLEs in the past few months, the company promotes a show as having many main events even though only one match can go on last, as seen with Backlash being advertised as having 3 main events.
[Update] As reported by Haus of Wrestling, Ripley has been confirmed to be on the card but not the closing match:
In regard to speculation, this means Rhea Ripley will headline the WWE Australia PLE later this year, a WWE source tells Haus of Wrestling, “Rhea Ripley will be on the show, and creative will dictate the match and match position.”

The Judgment Day member is on the run of her life in 2023 having held the Women’s Championship since April and has been integral in the rest of the faction being draped in gold. Pro Wrestling Illustrated has also recognised the achievements of Rhea Ripley by naming her the number one women’s wrestler in their annual rankings.
