Major AEW Star Pitched To Be Part Of Blood And Guts

CM Punk and MJF in AEW

The Elite and Blackpool Combat Club will finally put an end to their bitter rivalry when they meet in AEW’s most brutal and violent match, Blood and Guts on the July 19th edition of Dynamite.

However, the two factions will each need to recruit a new member as the BCC’s Bryan Danielson is out with an injury, and the Elite’s sometime partner Eddie Kingston will be engaged in combat overseas.

Danielson suffered a broken arm in his match against Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door and Kingston will be competing for NJPW during the G1 Climax Tournament.

Now, there are several reports that have surfaced stating that one major star has pitched to be a part of the wild and bloody cage match.

CM Punk Has Offered To Be A Part Of AEW Blood And Guts

According to reports from Voices Of Wrestling CM Punk offered to get involved in the match and pitched himself to be a member of the Blackpool Combat Club’s team. However, Fightful Select has noted that one source said “neither team would want him” but was also told that Jon Moxley wasn’t opposed to the idea.

Punk and Moxley have a long and bloody history in AEW. The two went to battle over the World Championship last year and saw the Chicago native defeat Moxley for the title at All Out.

Following the match, Punk cut his now infamous scorched earth promo on the Elite calling them “children” and not fit to run a Target let alone a wrestling company. The words resulted in an alleged backstage confrontation, which left all involved suspended and locked in a seemingly ongoing real-life feud.

Despite the animosity between Punk and the Elite, the former has expressed his willingness to work with Kenny Omega and The Young Bucks but as of yet, nothing has been clarified by either party.
