Kota Ibushi And Returning AEW Star Announced For Blood & Guts

AEW Blood and Guts Kota Ibushi

AEW’s most violent and brutal match Blood and Guts takes place on the July 19th edition of Dynamite. Now both teams have revealed their mystery partners and are ready to settle the score.

The Elite and the Blackpool Combat Club have been at each other’s throats for months and have clashed multiple times in furious attacks and manic matches. Despite these bloody altercations the two factions have been unable to end their deep-rooted war and will attempt to do so inside the massive double-ring enclosing steel structure.

In the lead-up to the match, it was revealed that due to an injury suffered in his match against Kazuchika Okada at Forbidden Door, Bryan Danielson is unable to compete for the BCC and on the Elite side Eddie Kingston is participating in the NJPW G1 Climax Tournament meaning that both groups would have to acquire additional members before stepping inside the cage.

During the July 12th episode of Dynamite, Kenny Omega was assaulted by Jon Moxley and Konosuke Takeshita on his way to the ring. During the assault, a returning PAC took out Omega with a steel chair confirming he was the BBC’s fifth member in the process. However, the surprises didn’t end there.

Kota Ibushi Will Make His AEW Debut At Blood And Guts

Following the attack a video played on the screen revealing that Kota Ibushi is joining the Elite to face off against the BCC in what will undoubtedly be a wild and bloody war.

Ever since leaving NJPW in 2022, speculation has been rife that Ibushi would soon be ‘All Elite’ and now it is confirmed that the Golden Star will make his in-ring debut for the promotion alongside the Elite.

Ibushi and Omega have a long history together. They have crossed paths numerous times throughout their careers and previously teamed together in Japan as the Golden Lovers and now they will do so again as the Golden Elite.
