Adam Cole on AEW Dynamite

Adam Cole has been awarded for overcoming his struggles over the past year.

At KultureCity’s annual KultureBall event, Cole was presented with the ‘Human Highlight Award’. He was given the award for persevering through his health issues over the past year.

The star suffered a severe concussion at Forbidden Door in June 2022 during a Four-Way Match for the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship which also featured Kazuchika Okada, ‘Hangman’ Adam Page, and Jay White.

Cole made his triumphant return on the March 22nd edition of Dynamite where he revealed he had been cleared and challenged Daniel Garcia to a match the following week, which he won.

During the awards ceremony, Cole made a speech where he spoke openly about his health issues and thanked his family, including his girlfriend Britt Baker, for their support during the difficult period.

On social media, the star said he was “honoured and humbled” by the award.

“So honored & humbled. I am so thankful to have a bunch of amazing and wonderful people around me. The world is a better place when we are there for each other.”

Adam Cole will compete twice at AEW All In

In recent months, Cole has been teaming with MJF as ‘Better Than You Bay Bay’. The pair were originally put together in the Blind Tag Team Eliminator tournament which they ultimately won, however, they were unsuccessful in capturing the AEW Tag Team Championships from FTR.

Despite this, the two remain firm friends, and MJF has even gone as far as giving Cole the ultimate gift, allowing him to challenge the Salt of the Earth for the AEW World Championship in the main event of All In at Wembley Stadium in London, Englan in front of over 80,000 fans.

On top of this, the pair will also challenge Aussie Open for the ROH Tag Team Titles in the Zero Hour pre-show of the huge event.
