The FBI Seemingly Shut Down Undertaker Parody Twitter Account

The FBI said rest in peace to some parody Twitter accounts mimicking WWE Hall of Famer The Undertaker.

While parody accounts are nothing new in the world of Twitter, a recent change in Twitter policy saw the FBI office in San Francisco take aim at several accounts including one that jokes about The Undertaker having an issue with soiling his pants.

An Undertaker Parody Account Was Outed By The FBI

As noted by Matt Taibbi, the FBI reached out to Twitter in regards to several accounts that may be against their policies and one happened to be a pissed-off Undertaker account that, according to WrestlingInc.’s David Bixenspan, typically tweets about Undertaker getting upset and having these accidents and blaming them on an imaginary character named “Mr. Brown.”

Per Twitter’s own guidelines regarding parody accounts, such accounts are allowed as long as it is made clear that they are in fact not the real individual in their bio and name. Also, accounts may be suspended if they “disrupt” the experience of other Twitter users.

You may not impersonate individuals, groups, or organizations to mislead, confuse, or deceive others, nor use a fake identity in a manner that disrupts the experience of others on Twitter.

Twitter provides a platform for people to share and receive a wide range of ideas and content, and we greatly value and respect the right to free expression. One way people on Twitter express themselves is by creating parody, commentary, and fan accounts. These accounts are an important way people discuss topics they are passionate about, and we believe they can enrich conversations when the account’s identity does not deceive others.

The account has been suspended but it is not clear whether or not it is directly linked to the FBI email which was sent out in November.

There are no stories on record about Undertaker having an accident during a match but, there is a famous story that perhaps, during the main event of WrestleMania 13 in 1997, Sycho Sid soiled himself when he was picked up by Undertaker for the Tombstone Piledriver.

These days, the Undertaker is focused on his 1deadMAN Shows. The next one will take place in Texas coinciding with the Royal Rumble. Learn more here.
