New Faction Forms On Latest AEW Dark

AEW Dark

AEW Dark on December 20 saw the formation of a new trios team. AEW spotlights its Spanish announce team (and Japanese Deathmatch Legend, Luther).

On Tuesday, December 20, 2022, Angelico, Luther, and Serpentico were successful in Trios action. After their match, they were interviewed by Tony Schiavone and that is where, thanks to the former WCW play-by-play announcer, a new group was officially born.

The Spanish Announce Project Was Formed On AEW Dark

Tony Schiavone revealed to the global audience watching on YouTube and those in attendance at Universal Studios in Orlando, Florida that Angelico and Serpentico are now the AEW Spanish announce team and merging that with the team name of Chaos Project (the duo of Serpentico and Luther), Tony Schaivone dubbed the new trio the “Spanish Announce Project”

Angelico was originally brought into AEW as part of The Hybrid 2 with Jack Evans. Evans has since left AEW. Angelico was also previously a member of the Andrade Hardy Family Office.

As for Serpentico and Luther, Luther was briefly a member of The Nightmare Collective with Mel, Awesome Kong, and Brandi Rhodes.

Serpentico recently made history in his own right as the first wrestler in AEW to reach 100 loses.

…and let this be a lesson to you all:

get knocked down 100 times and get back 101

it ain’t over until you decide it’s over

sometimes it takes 100 tries to win

death can have SNAKEMAN when it earns SNAKEMAN

other motivational stuff you can easily google

Now though, the new Trio has a renewed lease on life in All Elite Wrestling on AEW Dark. All three members of the Spanish Announce Project have yet to be featured regularly in AEW Championship pictures, but Luther did headline AEW Dynamite in 2020 when celebrating 30 years of Chris Jericho.

Perhaps one day, they will be challenging for the AEW World Trios Tag Team Championship.
