Road Dogg Believes Sami Zayn Didn’t Have The Chance To Show How Good He Was Until Now

Sami Zayn honorary uce

Road Dogg talks Sami Zayn’s rise to stardom as part of The Bloodline. Road Dogg says Sami Zayn hasn’t been given a chance to shine until he got the role as The Tribal Chief’s “Honorary Uce.”

Sami Zayn has been a part of the WWE’s main roster since 2016 and now, Zayn is getting the best run of his career as a member of The Bloodline alongside members of the Anoa’i family, Jimmy Uso, Solo Sikoa, Jey Uso, and Roman Reigns.

Road Dogg Comments On Sami Zayn’s Run In The Bloodline

WWE Senior Vice President of Live Events, Brian “Road Dogg” James, has commented on Zayn’s run. James, on his Oh, You Didn’t Know? podcast, says Sami is a genius in the industry and he’s happy Zayn’s getting an opportunity to show his abilities.

Well, look, I’ll tell you what the great thing about Sami is, he’s always been that good, he always has been. He just didn’t have the opportunity to literally just [show it]. I mean, look what he’s done, and it’s not his work. I can’t even remember the last time he wrestled, and I wouldn’t care if I could, because it’s the backstages, it’s the interactions with The Usos in the ring. And that’s Sami, that’s what’s so great. That’s why they’re laughing through this crap, this is Sami. But you cut from him doing that acting that way, and he immediately goes right back to serious overthinking Sami, who says we could do that better, that could do that.

Again, if I said this here, and you said, and he’s just a thinking man’s wrestler, and he’s always going [to be], and so Kevin’s the same way kinda. It can get very taxing, and I’ve heard it be told, like holy mackerel, you know, just like you’d get Steven Segal, you can get Sami Zayn. And it’s just in a corner where so and it’s all valid, thoughtful conversation, because he’s a great human being. Yeah, a perfectionist, but not in a, I don’t know, he’s just tedious, he’s very tedious.

And he wants to know, and that’s a good thing. Because you know, things can get lost in conversation. So you can’t just assume that the other guy understands. And so he wants to talk it out and talk it out he does. And that can be a little taxing at times. But, man, he’s a genius.

And isn’t there something about you know, genius is borderline psycho, you know, I don’t mean that in a negative way either. Sami knows how much I love him. I hope he does. Anyway, if he hears this and is angry, I’ll tell him again how much I love him. But he’s just such a great guy, and he’s always been this talented. He’s just now really getting an opportunity to show it.

Sami Zayn and his run will continue on Friday, December 30 as he deems with Roman Reigns against John Cena and Kevin Owens. Learn more about that match here.
