Jay White Drops Big Hint He Could Be Set To Leave New Japan

After losing the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship to Kazuchika Okada at Wrestle Kingdom 17, Jay White could now be set to leave New Japan Pro Wrestling.

By winning the 2022 G1 Climax, Kazuchika Okada earned himself another main event spot at NJPW’s biggest show of the year and was given the chance to capture another IWGP World Heavyweight Championship.

Okada was victorious inside the Tokyo Dome on January 4th and ended Wrestle Kingdom 17 by once again winning the biggest prize in NJPW. However, former champion Jay White was quick to blame his defeat on a former Bullet Club member.

Jay White Challenges Hikuleo To A ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ Match

During the post-Wrestle Kingdom press conference, Jay White laid the blame for his defeat on Hikuleo, who left the Bullet Club in 2022 to side with his brothers Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

The Switchblade claimed that this betrayal derailed his destiny and cost him the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship match against Okada.

At the following night’s New Year’s Dash, White teamed with fellow Bullet Club members KENTA, Taiji Ishimori and El Phantasmo to take on the team of Hikuleo, Tama Tonga, Hiroshi Tanahashi and Master Wato.

After the losing the multi-person tag match by disqualification, the Bullet Club continued to assault their opponents, with White focusing his attack on Hikuleo. It was then that the Switchblade vowed to take everything from Hikuleo and challenged him to a ‘Loser Leaves Japan’ match.

It has not been revealed when this match will take place, and has yet to be made official by NJPW, but speculation has already began suggesting that this bout could lead to White exiting the company.

Jay White has already made a handful of appearances in AEW, but the biggest rumours seem to point to the former IWGP World Heavyweight Champion heading to WWE.
