Andrade El Idolo AEW

Andrade El Idolo recently took to social media to reveal that he’d undergone surgery for a torn pectoral muscle. In his statement, the star said:

“My first surgery I can’t believe it happened. A few months ago, I tore my pectoral muscle.

“Thanks god! I could and wanted to finish my match. I kept working because I love the business but we know that many people do not value your effort, these days off I took the opportunity to go to Dr.”

The “days off” that Andrade El Idolo mentions in his Instagram post are due to the fact that he was suspended from AEW following a backstage altercation with Sammy Guevara back in early October. Andrade was sent home on the night of the altercation while Guevara went on to score a victory in the main event of AEW Dynamite.

The confrontation between Andrade and Guevara came after comments made by the former WWE star in an interview where he said his rival had complained at being hit too hard during a match. This led to a spat on social media, and both men were spoken to on October 4th. Despite the pair saying there would be no issues, Andrade allegedly confronted Guevara, throwing punches on October 5th.

It was later reported that Andrade El Idolo was attempting get fired.

Andrade El Idolo Was Injured During A Six Man Suplex On AEW Dynamite

Now, Andrade El Idolo has taken to social media once more to show fans exactly where his shoulder injury occurred. The match in question took place back on August 17th on the House of Dragon episode of AEW Dynamite during a trios bout that saw Andrade team with RUSH and Dragon Lee to take on The Elite in an AEW Trios World Championship qualifier match.

In the clip he shared, Andrade can be seen grabbing his shoulder in pain after taking a six man suplex. However, despite the injury taking place at the beginning of the match, he insisted on finishing, and also went on to compete in the Casino Ladder Match at AEW All Out.

“THIS IS THE MATCH WHERE MY INJURY HAPPENED I LEAVE YOU PART OF THE MATCH. You can’t imagine in what movement we can get injured, it happened to me in the 6-man Suplex almost starting the match but I wanted to finish as a professional.”

The Elite went on to win the bout and were crowned the first AEW Trios World Champions at AEW All Out. However, they were stripped of the titles after confronting CM Punk over his comments at the post-show media scrum led to a brawl. All participants were suspended, and Ace Steel, who reportedly threw a chair at Nick Jackson and bit Kenny Omega, has since been released from the company.
