Andrade El Idolo Seemingly Suspended

However, it has now emerged that Andrade El Idolo has been suspended. The star had been due to compete in a match against Rey Fenix at a RGR Lucha Libre show in California on November 20th, but will now miss the event. In a video posted by the organisers Andrade, dressed in a hospital gown, said that he had issue to attend to, and would have appeared if it was up to him. The star has been replaced on the card by Dralistico.

“Greetings to all my friends in Los Ángeles! I would have loved to meet you all this Sunday, but I had an issue to attend. I will be giving more details about it at a later date. If it had been up to me, I would have loved to be there with you all. I hope to see you all again in Los Ángeles and I apologise.” (H/t Fightful)

Interestingly, in a note regarding the missed appearance, Wrestling Observer referred to Andrade El Idolo as being “currently suspended from AEW.”

The confrontation between Andrade and Guevara came after comments made by the former WWE star in an interview where he said his rival had complained at being hit too hard during a match. This led to a spat on social media, and both men were spoken to on October 4th. Despite the pair saying there would be no issues, Andrade allegedly confronted Guevara, throwing punches on October 5th.

It was later reported that Andrade was attempting get fired.
