“No Truth” To Recent Ronda Rousey Rumours

Ronda Rousey WWE Raw

Ronda Rousey’s future remains unclear, despite reports that she could be about to leave WWE.

Long before she stepped foot in a WWE ring, Ronda Rousey established herself as the most famous female athlete on the planet. After becoming the first American woman to win an Olympic medal in judo in 2008, Rousey transitioned into a career in mixed martial arts.

The star quickly found success with Strikeforce and became the first woman to be signed by UFC in 2012. Rousey went on to win Bantamweight gold as she dominated the octagon alongside a growing celebrity profile.

After two back-to-back losses, Rousey left UFC and pursued a career with WWE, again finding success, winning multiple championships in her two runs with the company to date.

However, with reports that Rousey is set to leave WWE, speculation began to swirl that she could make a sensational return to UFC. This speculation kicked into overdrive at the UFC Vegas 77 media day when Chelsea Chandler suggested Rousey was coming back, but this time in a new weight division.

“I’ve been hearing Ronda is coming back, I’ve heard she’s coming back at 145. You never know. If I go out there and put on the performance, I plan on putting on, I’ll welcome her to 145. I think it would be a great fight.

It has been a long time for her, and things change, people get better, and I think people are on to her one-trick-pony armbar. Money talks, and she would bring eyes to the sport again.”

However, it’s been reported that despite these comments, Rousey won’t be heading back to the octagon any time soon. Writing on social media, Ariel Helwani stated there was “no truth” to the rumours, and the star isn’t considering a UFC comeback.

Ronda Rousey Expected To Leave WWE

Ronda Rousey is currently wrapped up in a feud with real-life friend Shayna Baszler. The on-screen feud kicked off when Baszler turned on the star at Money In The Bank, since then the pair have clashed on Raw, and it’s been reported they will meet in a match at SummerSlam.

It’s been rumoured that this match might be Rousey’s last in WWE, following the news that she has given the company a “hard out” of when she wants to leave the company. The report from Dave Meltzer stated that this date is “long before” WrestleMania and her storyline with Baszler has been sped up due to her desire to at least take a break from the ring.
