Wrestling Veteran Blasts Tony Khan’s “Irrelevant Parasite” Insult: “I Paid My Dues… You Bought Your Way In”

Tony Khan AEW

Disco Inferno doesn’t think Tony Khan’s behavior is becoming of the head of a major wrestling company.

During the December 16th edition of AEW Collision, Tony Khan posted on social media to ask fans how they were feeling. Former WCW and TNA star Disco Inferno, real name Glen Gilbertti, responded that he felt “the shows need a reset.” Khan didn’t take Gilbertti’s words kindly, and hit back with the following:

“The belief that you’re an irrelevant parasite unites the entire pro wrestling community. #AEWCollision”

On a recent edition of Keepin It 100, Gilbertti defended his comment, saying that while he feels the programming has been stagnant, his praise for the shows often go ignored.

“That’s the way I feel, that this show has been kind of stuck in the mud, the ratings haven’t gone up in months. They’re doing tournaments, you know, a lot of guys like Wardlow, they’re still not …

“We do the reviews on the show and I tell the stuff that we like and don’t like, the funny thing about this is that all these fans think I’m this hater and stuff … Every single week, there’s at least some stuff I like, but nobody wants to talk about that. Just listen to our review.”

“I Paid My Dues” – Disco Inferno Accuses Tony Khan Of Buying His Way Into Wrestling

Continuing, Disco Inferno pointed to his own history in the wrestling business compared to that of Tony Khan and accused the AEW President of behavior unbecoming the head of a wrestling company.

“I paid my dues, I’ve gone up and down the roads, I’ve been in the ring and I wrestled during a period of time when wrestling was the hottest it’s ever been … You bought your way into this business and you’re gonna call me an irrelevant parasite? I did way more to make a name for myself in this business than just putting up a bunch of money and buying a company. It’s very offensive … You’re the head of a company. This is not behavior becoming of the head of a wrestling company.”

During a recent media scrum, Tony Khan claimed that AEW were “under constant attack” from those who want to criticize the company.
