John Cena Thanks Boy That Saved Sister’s Life

John Cena

John Cena has thanked an eight-year-old boy who credited Cena with teaching him what to do when his sister was choking on food.

Jaxson Dempsey revealed that it was watching Cena on ‘The Substitute’ on Nickelodeon that taught him CPR. Those skills proved crucial when Jaxson’s little sister Leila choked on a chicken nugget.

Speaking to WNEP in Luzerne County, PA the young hero described what happened:

“We were driving to my haircut, and I noticed she was starting to choke from a chicken nugget from McDonald’s. I told my dad to pull over. Then I was starting to pat her back, and it got out.”

Jaxson commented that he knew what to do in the situation because of Cena’s show:

“It’s called The Substitute on Nickelodeon, and in the very first episode, John Cena was on it, and in the last part, he showed how to save someone when they’re choking.”

John Cena has responded to Dempsey posting a video in which he thanks Jaxson for his actions.

The soon to be star of The Suicide Squad stated:

“Hey Jaxson, this is 16-time WWE champ and Peacemaker John Cena saying hello,” said Cena in the video. “Now I heard a story about you, and it really touched my heart. A story that in a time of crisis, you were brave enough to take action. Doing so, you saved your little sister’s life. I wanted to commend you because the actions of a true hero are those who do act in a time of crisis.”

“Usually, when bad things happen, one of the toughest things for all of us to do is to take action. You jumped right in helped out the best you could. Doing so, you saved your sister’s life. I really want to say thank you for being you, Jaxson. Thank you for being an inspiration; thank you from all of us.”
