MJF Vs Bryan Danielson Ironman Match Confirmed For AEW Revolution

MJF celebrates with AEW World Championship at AEW Full Gear.

Despite MJF’s best efforts, ploys, and tricks, Bryan Danielson earned his shot at the AEW World Championship.

The February 8th edition of Dynamite opened with MJF’s first match in two months. He took on Konosuke Takeshita in a match that went about twenty minutes. And despite Takeshita’s best efforts, MJF made him tap out with his Salt of the Earth Fujiwara armbar. After the match, MJF bloodied Takeshita until Bryan made the save.

Later, someone in Rush’s entourage was heard drilling or otherwise tampering with the door into the doctor’s office where Bryan was being interviewed.

MJF tried to have Rush win via count-out, but Bryan escapes his prison with Takeshita’s help and made it to his scheduled match with Rush.

But it was an uphill battle. Rush bloodied Bryan more savagely than MJF did to Takeshita. He threw Bryan around and kicked him as hard as he could. He even landed a belly-to-belly suplex off the apron and to the floor. But Bryan would not be denied.

Despite having tons of blood masking his face and a badly-injured shoulder Bryan hit dives, dropkicks, and diving dropkicks. Rush tried hitting back with chops so hard that Bryan’s chest was almost the same shade of red as his face.

But no matter how hard Rush hit Bryan, Bryan persevered and won following two Busaiku Knee strikes.

MJF vs. Bryan Danielson confirmed for AEW Revolution 2023

MJF, who was at commentary, was furious with the result. He hobbled down to the ring and hit Bryan’s head with the same diamond ring that he used to bloody Takeshita.

Then to send a message, MJF locked Bryan in his arm-bar, and even punched some officials to stop them from stopping him. Not even four officials pulling with all their might could get MJF to release Bryan from his hold.

AEW Revolution takes place on March 5th, 2023.
