Brock Lesnar Makes Surprise Entrance And Wins Royal Rumble

Brock Lesnar celebrates winning the 2022 Royal Rumble

After being defeated by Bobby Lashley for the WWE Championship, Brock Lesnar made a surprise entrance in the Royal Rumble and went on to win the whole thing!

The last month of Brock Lesnar’s WWE career has been full of twists and turns, starting with Lesnar being inserted into the fatal five way main event match at Day 1 and going on to win the WWE Championship by pinning Big E.

The day after Brock Lesnar was crowned champion, Paul Heyman accompanied his client to the ring and confirmed that he was once again the Advocate to the Beast after being fired from his duties as Special Counsel to the Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.

However, Paul Heyman proved to be a turncoat as he assisted Roman Reigns in attacking Brock Lesnar during his WWE Championship match with Bobby Lashley at the Royal Rumble. Thanks to the interference from Reigns, Lashley was able to defeat the Beast Incarnate and become the new WWE Champion.

Enraged by his title loss and not willing to let championship opportunities out of his grasp, Brock Lesnar made a surprise entrance as number 30 in the men’s Royal Rumble match and wreaked havoc on the remaining participants, eliminating five men, including hip-hop star Bad Bunny who’d returned for the first time since his tag team match at WrestleMania 37.

The final two participants in the match were Lesnar and Drew McIntyre, who defeated the Beast at the empty arena WrestleMania 36 to capture his first WWE Championship. After exchanging blows, Lesnar eliminated McIntyre and was declared the winner.

Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns were originally scheduled to face each other at Day 1

This latest development seems to bolster rumors that Brock Lesnar and Roman Reigns will face off at WrestleMania 38. There had been some speculation that WWE was planning to unify the WWE and Universal Championships at the event, but Bobby Lashley becoming the new champion supports recent reports that title unification was not in WWE’s plans.

Roman Reigns and Brock Lesnar were previously set to face off at WWE Day 1, but those plans were thwarted when Roman Reigns tested positive for COVID-19 hours before the Premium Live Event was to begin. Multiple changes were made to the show, the most notable being that Brock Lesnar was inserted into the WWE Championship match and shockingly won the title in the main event.
