AEW Considering Signing Mariah May

Mariah May Independent Wrestler

AEW is reportedly looking to add to its women’s division with Mariah May.

Mariah May is a noted U.K. four-year wrestling veteran and according to Fightful Select, there has been talks about May working with AEW and mainstream interest has been in the talent all the way back in 2019. That interest first stemmed from WWE’s way as the company had a WWE UK Performance Center tryout back then. WWE has kept tabs on her since, but steam has been picking up from AEW’s camp at potentially acquiring the talents of May.

Despite that, Fightful hasn’t been able to confirm if any conversations have been had between either company or May.

May has recently had a busy schedule working with Stardom but signs are pointing to that her tenure there could be done as she recently removed her personal merchandise store and shared a message on social media that she was “thankful” for this time in her life.

With Mariah May Possibly Signing, The UK Talent Roster Could Grow In AEW

Mariah May has the star power look and experience to succeed in pro wrestling and it would be quite the get for AEW. She’d join fellow UK-based women’s talent in Saraya, Toni Storm and Jamie Hayter.

Unfortunately for Hayter, she has been out with injury and her timeframe for a return is unknown. Both her and Storm have been AEW Women’s World Champion with Storm recently dropping the title to Hikaru Shida. There could be some added intrigue for May being All Elite considering that AEW All In is this weekend in Wembley.
