Melanie Brzezinski has joined the list of stars leaving WWE.

On September 21st, WWE engaged in a fresh round of talent cuts which encompassed both the main and developmental rosters. Earlier in the week, it was reported that over 100 staff members had been let go following the completion of the merger between WWE and UFC to form the TKO Group.

Mustafa Ali, Dolph Ziggler, and Dana Brooke were among over 20 names to be let go during the latest round of releases. Ali was perhaps the most surprising as he had been involved in a feud with Dominik Mysterio which was due to culminate in a match between the two at NXT No Mercy on September 30th.

NXT stars to be released included Quincy Elliot, Bryson Montana, and Kevin Ventura-Cortes. Now, another name to add to that list is Melanie Brzezinski, who announced her departure via Instagram.

“Good morning everybody. I’m sure a lot of you have heard the news, and yes, it’s true. My time with WWE, aka ‘TKO’ is now over. It was an amazing experience that I will forever be grateful for.”

Brzezinski added that she will use her experience in WWE as a stepping stone towards “another dream” of hers, whether this will be within pro wrestling or in a different industry remains to be seen.

“I am taking this as a stepping stone to another dream of mine. Thank you all for the support and kind words throughout this amazing experience with the company. It’s time for me to go after what was truly meant for me.”
