Recently Terminated WWE Star Requested To Be Released

Yulisa Leon

Yulisa Leon has revealed that she requested her recent release from WWE.

The Mexican Superstar originally made her debut on 205 Live in October 2021, teaming with Katrina Cortez to face Valentina Feroz and Amari Miller.

Leon would then switching to the NXT brand in November of the same year, losing her first singles encounter to Ivy Nile.

Misfortune would strike, however, in September 2022 when Leon suffered a serious knee injury that would side line her for almost nine months.

The 27-year old returned in May 2023, making her main roster debut teaming alongside Valentina Feroz in a losing effort to NXT Womens Tag Team Champions Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn on SmackDown.

It was revealed on September 21st 2023 that Leon had been released from WWE, with the Mexican taking to social media to reveal that she had requested the departure from the company:

To my dear fans and general public.

No price is too high to fight for what you are and what you want: To be the woman of your dreams.
I thank the WWE & NXT Universe for honoring me with the opportunity to be the first Mexican woman under contract (as a wrestler).

I learned what I never imagined, I enjoyed like never before & I will stay with the great experiences and incredible friendships but for personal reasons, I took the decision to ask to be released from my contract.

I will let you know the reasons at a later time & I am deeply grateful for the facilities and for leaving the doors open for me.

I am still focused on my next projects, expect to hear from me very soon.
