Emma Announces WWE Release

Emma

Emma — real name Tenille Dashwood — has left WWE.

Posting on social media, Emma has announced she’s been released by WWE. The news comes just hours after WWE confirmed it would be returning to Australia for Elimination Chamber in February.

The proud Australian had shared the post, describing the news as a “dream.”

Following her departure from the company, Emma shared the post again writing: “Oops nevermind. I just got released… I am no longer with WWE.”

When Did Emma Join WWE?

Emma re-signed with WWE in late 2022 appearing on the October 28th episode of SmackDown. The star answered an open challenge by then-SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey.

Although the match was a short affair, fans were excited to see the Aussie back in action.

The star initially signed with WWE in 2011 and appeared in Florida Championship Wrestling, and later NXT and the main roster. Her first run in NXT is remembered especially fondly by fans as the star lost out to Page (Saraya) to become the first-ever NXT Women’s Champion at NXT Arrival.

However, her time on the main roster was much more stop-start and Emma was released in 2017.

After spells with Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling, Emma headed back to WWE but again found her progress up the card limited. She began life on SmackDown before moving to Raw in the draft alongside her real-life partner MadCap Moss.

Emma last wrestled on Raw on July 10th when she was defeated by Shayna Baszler in a little over a minute.
