Multiple Released WWE Stars To Become Free Agents Imminently

Many former WWE Superstars will be free to explore other opportunities in a matter of hours.

On September 21st, multiple stars from the main roster and NXT were released from their contracts. This was the latest round of company releases and the first major round of cuts following the Endeavor takeover.

As is the case with company releases, all main roster talent are subject to a 90-day no-compete clause. On Thursday, December 21st, the 90 days will be over and the released talent can compete wherever they choose.

The former WWE Superstars that will become free agents are as follows:

  • Quincy Elliot
  • Yulissa Leon
  • Mace
  • Mansoor
  • Riddick Moss
  • Matt Riddle
  • Shanky
  • Top Dolla
  • Dolph Ziggler

With the December 21st edition of Impact Wrestling and the December 22nd edition of AEW Rampage both pre-taped ahead of time, the first major live wrestling broadcast that released talent could appear on will be the December 22nd edition of AEW Collision. The first major pay-per-view that a surprise appearance could take place is AEW Worlds End on December 30th.

Multiple Released WWE Have Already Announced Independent Appearances

While former WWE Superstars are unable to appear live for rival promotions, appearances once the no-compete has expired have been announced on social media. Notable announcements have included Dolph Ziggler being scheduled to compete at WWC Euphoria, Matt Riddle being advertised for an MLW appearance and Mace and Masoor making their GCW debut in spring 2024.
