Tony Khan Comments On

If rumours are to be believed then Tony Khan could find AEW sharing a television network with WWE.

Speculation surrounding WWE potentially moving to Warner Bros Discovery has run rampant in recent weeks after reports surfaced that both parties had met in New York City.

The reported meeting between WWE and WBD has ignited a flurry of speculation and concern among wrestling fans. The potential for WWE to relocate its flagship program, Monday Night Raw, to a Warner Bros. Discovery-owned network like TNT or TBS has raised fears of reduced airtime and viewership for AEW, which currently airs on TNT. Moreover, this move could divert attention and resources away from AEW’s flagship show, Dynamite, which has experienced remarkable growth in recent years.

All Elite Wrestling President Tony Khan has responded to these stories and spoken positively about his company’s relationship with the media conglomerate. While acknowledging that WB Discovery is exploring various options for their programming, Khan expressed confidence in his promotion’s current arrangement and emphasized the strong partnership they have built with the network.

We’re performing incredibly well for Warners Brothers Discovery and we’re a very strong relationship. With media rights and all the things coming up, everyone has to do their due diligence. It’s just part of the TV business. Where we stand, we stand in a position for AEW to have a huge growth year in 2024. There are a lot of really exciting things happening that I know Warner Brothers is excited about, that we’ve talked about.

He assured fans that AEW is in a strong position and is focused on delivering engaging content and growing its audience.

It’s a great relationship and it’s going very very well for us and part of the TV business, for both sides, is doing their due diligence and that’s just a part of sports and television, really. Being part of the NFL and Premier League, I’ve seen that process play out with certainly different TV networks looking at different sports and the sports looking at different TV networks. I’ve been part of this multiple times in the NFL.
