Adam Copeland Issues No DQ Challenge For AEW Worlds End

Adam Copeland in the ring on AEW Collision

Adam Copeland wants another shot at gold at AEW Worlds End.

On the December 6th edition of Dynamite in Montreal, Canada, Adam Copeland finally got his hands on Christian Cage as he challenged his former friend for the TNT Championship.

The match ended in chaos. After the referee was knocked out, Nick Wayne’s mother, Shayna came to the ring and blasted Copeland with the TNT Title belt. Christian followed this up with a Killswitch before stomping The Rated-R Superstar’s head on top of the title to get the pinfall win.

The rivalry has not ended for the pair, and on the December 16th episode of Collision, Copeland challenged his former friend again, but this time with no excuses as it will be a No Disqualification match.

Copeland also made it clear that it isn’t just about getting revenge on Cage, as he now has a taste for gold and wants to win his first championship since being forced to retire back in 2011.

“I could complain, make excuses about how it all went down, but at this stage of my career, no-one needs excuses. I should be prepared for every scenario, I’ve seen it all.

“There’s another thing I took away with me from Montreal. When I was forced to retire in 2011, that’s the last time that I had gold and getting that close to it, almost tasting it, I realised I miss it. See, there’s very few within this industry that can even scratch my championship pedigree and I want to add to it, remind everyone exactly who the hell I am.

“So Christian, I’m challenging you at Worlds End, Nassau Coliseum, no excuses, a No Disqualification match. I’m gonna beat you, I’m gonna be the new TNT Champion.”

AEW Star Has No Interest In Match With Adam Copeland

Chris Jericho has explained why he would rather not wrestle Adam Copeland even though they are both now in AEW. During a recent interview, the star said that although they would undoubtedly have a great match, he wants to concentrate on taking on stars he hasn’t shared the ring with before.
