Fanatics Clarify The Removal Of WWE Legacy Title Featuring Jacksonville Jaguars

Tony Khan & Shad Khan

Was there any ill intent with WWE suddenly removing the Jacksonville Jaguars version of their new championship replica titles or was it just a fortunate coincidence?

WWE kicked off their Monday with a little NFL action as the company announced the introduction of specific NFL WWE Legacy Titles featuring all 32 teams from the National Football League – even the Shad & Tony Khan-operated Jacksonville Jaguars. However, was this only temporary?

Fans and media soon began to realize that the Jaguars version of the title was no longer available to purchase. Speculation began as to why WWE may have removed it, considering it is a team owned by their AEW rival, but Fanatics, the company’s main merchandiser actually addressed the issue on social media, claiming that the product was just a super quick sell for consumers.

“Hey there! Those sold faster than we could have ever imagined! I would keep your eyes peeled for a restock in the next few days!”

If you go to the shop website, it should be noted that several of these titles are noted as “almost gone.”

The Jacksonville Jaguars Have Been A Proactive Part Of AEW

Considering they are owned by The Khans, the Jacksonville Jaguars have had their fair share of appearances on AEW programming, particularly during the Stadium Stampede battles. The mascot actually once took a Judas Effect from Chris Jericho and their ex-beleaguered head coach, Urban Meyer found himself using a cuss word when The Ocho interrupted a coach’s meeting. The team’s franchise player, Trevor Lawerence has also interracted with the roster.

One potential former wrestler may not need worry about acquiring a WWE NFL Championship Title as Steve McMichael was just revealed to be a senior finalist for the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2024.

In new franchising news, WWE are expected to partner with the NHL in the near future.
