WWE Raw Star Breaks 4-Month Streak During Recent Taping

WWE Superstar Jey Uso will be extra happy with the result of his most recent match.

At Payback, Uso was introduced by Cody Rhodes as the newest member of the Raw roster, signalling that the former Tag Team Champion had broken away from The Bloodline and would attempt to become a breakout star and live up to his moniker of “Main event” Jey Uso. However, in terms of match results, Uso’s time on the red brand has been mixed.

More often than not, Uso has been on the losing end of televised matches, particularly in singles matches. Notable losses since switching brands have included losing the Tag Team Championships to The Judgment Day on October 16th and losing the WarGames advantage match to Drew McIntyre on November 20th. However, Uso’s luck would change during the last live Raw of 2023.

As seen on the December 18th broadcast of Raw, Uso defeated Ludwig Kaiser, meaning that Uso won his first singles match on Raw since signing with the brand back in September and breaking the 4-month streak. Prior to this, the former Bloodline member was last victorious in a one-on-one match on the August 4th edition of SmackDown, defeating Solo Sikoa 24 hours before losing to Roman Reigns at SummerSlam.

New WWE Merchandise Sees Humourous Take On Trademark Issues

Fans have been firmly behind Uso ever since he made the jump to Raw in September, interacting with the former Tag Team Champion with his entrance and chanting his catchphrase repeatedly. However, there was a brief period where WWE looked to retire the “Yeet” catchphrase as they struggled to secure a trademark, which was briefly followed up by the merchandise being discontinued. Humorously referencing their recent legal troubles, WWE released a new shirt that references the brief removal of “Yeet!”
