Hulk Hogan’s Son Pleads Not-Guilty Following DUI Arrest

Hulk Hogan's Son Arrested For DUI

Hulk Hogan’s son Nick Hogan has issued a not-guilty plea at his arraignment following an arrest for driving under the influence.

As first reported by TMZ, Hogan, real name Nicolas Bollea, was arrested on Saturday, November 18 in Clearwater, FL. The 33-year-old was booked by police officers on suspicion of a DUI and the aforementioned arraignment was set for December 18th. Following the not-guilty plea, a pre-trial hearing has been set for January 17th 2024.

RadarOnline.com provided further details, revealing that Hogan “zoomed past three stationary patrol cars working on a separate traffic incident” prior to being arrested. Continuing, the report provided notes from a police report of the incident, stating that Hogan “performed poorly on the field sobriety test” and was handcuffed after an officer smelled alcohol on his breath. Further reports stated that Hogan was at his father’s restaurant and judging a bikini contest before driving home and was subsequently arrested.

The police report notes that in addition to smelling of booze, Hogan’s eyes were “bloodshot” and “glassy” and that he allegedly showed signs of “impairment.” Hogan also refused to submit a breathalyzer test when he was taken into custody.

According to the police report, the arrest took place at 4 am on November 18th when a group of police officers were executing a traffic stop in the left turn lane. Hogan’s vehicle, a 2021 Dodge Ram, didn’t slow down despite the officers having their emergency lights activated. The report notes:

“(The officer) used his department issued flashlight in an attempt to signal the said vehicle to move over. However, the said vehicle did not vacate the median and did not reduce speed by 20 mph under the posted speed limit.”

The police report also stated that Hogan’s vehicle was going 51 MPH in a 40 MPH zone.

Wrestling fans will best know Nick Hogan from the reality TV series Hogan Knows Best, which centred around the life of former WWE Champion Hulk Hogan along with Nick, his daughter Brooke and his wife Linda, whom Hulk Hogan has since divorced and would go on to marry Sky Daily in September 2023.

Hulk Hogan’s Son Previously Convicted Of DUI Charges

This is not the first time that Nick Hogan has been in trouble with the law. Back in 2007, Nick Hogan had previously crashed his car, once again in Clearwater, FL. Following an investigation by the authorities, Hogan was found to be driving recklessly and underage drinking and was sentenced in November 2007 for 8 months. Hogan’s friend John Graziano was also in the car during the 2007 crash and suffered life-altering brain injuries as a result, requiring constant care.

The Graziano family sued the Hogan family for damages and the case was settled out of court. Understandably, the crash and the tragic surrounding events played a large factor in the reality TV series coming to an end in 2007.

In a follow-up report by TMZ, Graziano’s mother Debra was interviewed about the 2023 crash and described Nick Hogan’s actions as a “total lack of respect for what (he) did to another person’s life and you’re still driving recklessly.” Upon looking back on the events that took place in 2007, Debra stated how she is reminded of the tragedy each day:

“I grieve the virtual loss of my son on a daily basis. I thank God daily that at least I have John here with us at home.”
