You “can” see John Cena in the upcoming Barbie film and it’s in thanks to a happy circumstance.
Movie star phenom Margot Robbie has had plenty of memorable roles in her career, but this summer the people will see her play the doll of Barbie. Speaking with Chris Van Vliet, Robbie gave some details about how Cena ended up making a “run-in” on the film and it didn’t take a whole of adjusting of the attitude.
“I ran into him at a [London] restaurant and we’d worked together before. Actually, I ran into him because I went to pay the bill and they were like, ‘John Cena already took care of it’ and I was like, ‘What? Where is he?’ I mean he’s a big guy, but I was like, ‘He’s hard to hide.'”

Robbie starred alongside Cena in “Suicide Squad 2” and Cena saw fit to literally pay it forward with Robbie, who wanted to pitch to him a chance to cameo in “Barbie.” Cena was busy filming “Fast X” across the street and Robbie wanted to give the shine to her former co-star.
“I was like, ‘That’s where we’re shooting “Barbie”‘ and I was like, ‘Do you wanna come be a merman in “Barbie?”‘ He was like, ‘Uh, yeah’ and I was like, ‘Surely he’s not gonna agree to it just like that,’ and he did. He’s so awesome like that.”
Cena hasn’t been the only WWE Superstar to find himself in the action figure fold. Also attending the “Barbie” premiere was Liv Morgan, Karrion Kross and Scarlett.
